Chaos everywhere....

Well, my father and I went to the Phillies game last night. Why oh why do we do this to ourselves?? Yes, they lost. Yes, they looked gutless and dispirited. We sat in the left field stands, with a fine view of Pat Burrell's backside (which is admittedly fine), and listened to the fans around us heap abuse on him. Every time he caught a ball, he was showered with derisive cheers, a Phillies fan specialty. There are rumors that he and others will be dumped at the trading deadline - I can only hope.

Okay, I can't write about it anymore; it just makes me too depressed. Instead, I shall show some pictures of knitting progress. I actually haven't knit anything for two days, but I thought I could show you where I was anyway. I took a picture of the little green and pink cardigan to show the collar. This is it, being guarded by Robin, of Teen Titans fame:

(the wonkiness of the front band in this case is due to it falling over the edge of the table.)

The funny thing is the picture that I took before this one, here

which shows the nearly unbridled chaos that is my fiber world. In this picture you can see the little cardigan, the two spindles filled with spun yarn, the bags of roving behind them, the needle felting accoutrements, and a Clapotis out of soy silk (which rocked, by the way) that needs its ends sewed in, and a pile of knitting books and patterns. Whoa! I need to clean up.

The Divine DJ,
Ahh, the Phillies are, alas, like the other Philadelphia teams - there is such promise, such enthusiasm, we all have such hope.
And then - BLAM, hopes are dashed against the giant boulders that dot the shoreline & piffle, there goes the season.
Ah, the life of a Phildelphia sports fan - well, you know, there's always next year.
That's the thing about the Phila., PA sports fans - they always say, "Just wait until next year."
