What the Well-Dressed 7-yr-old Packs for a Trip to Boston:

I could not squeeze a single Phillies shirt in there. He even insisted on taking the slightly-scorned "former players' shirts" on the left. We're going to be gone FIVE DAYS. He'll be like Madonna changing his outfit twice a day. Red Sox fans....hrmph.
Bon voyage! See you Sunday!

My grandfather Sidney owned a tire store in the shadow of Fenway Park. As a kid, I remember we would stop in and get free tires every couple of years.
When my mother was a young girl growing up in Boston, she and her dad often went to Red Sox games.
So, are you guys visiting colleges for Gus?
Speaking of visiting colleges, when Dad took me to Boston to check out Boston University he managed to schedule in TWO double-headers at Fenway. I still remember the t-shirt I bought: "Pitchers Pay The Price When They Face Jim Rice!" Excellent!
I also remember going to the aquarium (or "Requairium" as a certain boy in Boston called it!) and I don't remember anything about B.U. (except for its proximity to Fenway!)
A boy after my own heart. Have a blast here in our city!
EPP - good Fenway memories! I don't think I realized your mom grew up in Boston....is she a Sox fan??
CG - Yeah, I think that's how we'll pick a college for Gus - proximity to baseball and yarn stores.
Suzanne - he only ended up wearing six of the shirts (one for each day, plus an extra change on game day), but he was totally commited. And boy howdy - we did have a blast!
