Okay, phew - all that wild birthday celebrating wore me out! Just kidding!! I had a great birthday - here are some choice items received - from Gus (who has to suffer through my loud and incessant car karaoke) the Itunes card and from Matthew, the mighty book:

Gus lost a tooth at school! He's never had a tooth fall out before (he had some pulled but that doesn't count.) The two front teeth have been getting looser and looser lately, resulting in a more and more goofy-looking positioning. Yesterday, Gus accidentally got kicked in the teeth by the kid who was sitting next to him (who fell over backwards in his chair) and lost one of his front teeth.

Excellently kung-fu-y way to lose a tooth!

And now, brace yourselves, people. Here comes a picture of my latest, most obsessive, love, Mr. Theodore Bear:

Yes, I have officially lost my mind. That snowflake sweater is the SECOND sweater I've made for him. He also has a pair of jeans. I'm also working on a felted backpack for him. I was in Modell's and saw Phillies baby bootees and immediately thought, "Oooh! Oooh! They would be perfect for Theodore Bear!!"

Please note that I am nowhere near the 150-item wardrobe I "joked" about, but am inching ever closer...

So cute. The toothless grin and the bear. So freakin' cute.

That's a tough way to lose a tooth, but I guess Gus is a tough little guy. Hope the tooth fairy did him proud.

no more for the bear. the cuteness would turn into weirdness and i don't want you to become THAT woman who works in a yarn store. that woman isn't received by the sane very well.

now if you said you'd make the knucks your go-to pattern for fingerless gloves, like i have decided, then that's different.

and maybe you also heard me say that i might be going toe up, but i dunno about that just yet.

liz k and g's gd - you should see that last tooth. it is hanging so precariously it is taking every iota of my willpower not to just reach over and yank it out. Soon....sooon...

jjp - so what are you saying? that maybe i should only make a 100-piece wardrobe, instead of 150?

repeat after me: toe-up magic loop, toe-up magic loop, toe-up magic loop....

Did you teach him how to fill his mouth with water and squirt it through the space???
