The poor Phillies are not to be mentioned, so instead I was tagged by Jen to answer a meme, which I will now fill out in an attempt to stifle my misery about the team...

1) What was I doing 10 years ago?
10 years ago I was working at an architect's office after spending a year in Wheeling and a year as a roofer/carpenter. I had just started dating Matthew.

2) What are 5 things on my to-do list for today (not in any particular order)?
1. Call the pool to schedule swimming lessons for Gus
2. Deposit rebate check for refrigerator (heavenly choir) delivery
3. Send a Momogus Knits sample to Cathy at Finely A Knitting Party (newest MK customer!)
4. Call the dermatologist for annual skin cancer screening
5. Send my friend Sabina a CD of favorite 70's funk for her and son Sam, who are studying 70's music

3) Snacks I enjoy:
1. Herr's Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips - the be-all and end-all of snacking
2. Any Tastykake, but especially Butterscotch Krimpets or Lemon Pies
3. Any pretzel product
4. Craisins - I'm CRAIZY for Craisins!
5. Wasabi peas

4) Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
1. Pay for Gus's school
2. Oops I wouldn't have any money left! (HA HA - bitter exorbinant school tuition joke.)
3. Pay off student loans, mortgage, debts, etc - the obvious
4. Pay off family's loans, mortgages, debts, etc
5. Do various charitable things (Parkinson's, American Friends Service, Save the Bees)
6. Buy some ding-dang %*&^(@ patio furniture!!!!

5) Places I’ve lived:
1. Jenkintown Pa, Philadelphia Pa, Wheeling WVa, North Hills, Pa

I now tag.....YOU....dear reader. Fill out your own questionnaire and let me know in comments so I can go and read it.

Okay, Momogus, I'll take up your suggestion.
1. Ten years ago: practicing law in Blue Bell, living in Jenkintown with Barbara, getting active in A's Society, atching good Princeton basketball teams.
2. To-do list for today: nasty thought, since early tomorrow morning we leave for twelve-day trip, so, today, do everything to get ready not already done.
3. Snacks I enjoy: Cool Ranch Doritos, Other Flavor Doritos, Wheat Thins.
4. Dispose of Billions: to my children and grandchildren (that takes care of most of it), to the A's Society and Princeton, to conservation organizations, and possibly buy the Phillies a starting pitcher.
5. Places I've lived: Wyncote, Abington, Huntingdon Valley, Princeton (college student, not permanently), Jenkintown, and now Chesterbrook, Pa.
So there.

Let's see..

10 years ago -- I think I was at Beaver College getting my M.A. in counseling.

Today's to-do list -- straighten out my car insurance info with the maryland vehicle administration (I suspect this will involve MANY calls! sigh.) Walk Owain. Run errands. Vacuum.

Snacks -- chips and sour cream (but not Salt and Vinegar!) Nachos. Pistachios.

Billionaire - Make sure my family is all set, Build a few Jordan family compounds (one in Jenkintown, one on a beach somewhere and one on a lake), open The Lazy Bakery, make sure wherever I live that it has a fenced-in yard for Owain! Travel! Travel! Travel! Either donate a ton of it to charity or set up charitable trusts. Hm, i think that covers it.

Places I've lived -- Jenkintown, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Baltimore

@curlygirl - omg, good luck with the Maryland MVA. That might be the worst organization in the history of civilized government.

ks -- I think this time everything worked out. The problem was with the time between when I switched my registration from PA to MD and the time I got my MD insurance. After several calls (oh, the emotional roller coaster!) to the MVA, I finally talked to a supervisor who said they'd close out my case and I'd be in compliance. Phew. In the middle, one woman I spoke to said, "but you have to have had MARYLAND insurance for that time period." I thought I was sunk and was starting to come to terms with losing a big chunk of money that I couldn't afford. But after putting me on hold for a looong time, she then put me through to the supervisor who said it was all ok. I almost didn't believe him! Oh, government bureaucracy how I love thee!!

So I'm checking that off my to-do list for today!

A roofer/carpenter??? I never knew! I guess that's why these memes are kinda cool. You find out things about people you normally wouldn't.

And what's with so many people I know loving salt & vinegar chips?!? That briny madness must cease. Herr's kettle cooked chips...ooh or pita chips, garlic parmesan. But I do go crazy over craisins. Why wouldn't anyone go crazy for craisins?

gg - "Other Flavor Doritos" - genius marketing! And yes, I will waive some of my share of the billions if we could procure some pitching for the Phils.

cg - why no SNV love? I like the idea of the various Jordan compounds.

ks - Snacks discaimer: My list of snacks was really more treats than snacks. Your snacks made me realize that mine are not so.... healthy. Will the Scottish castle replica be part of the artists' retreat? If so, I'd like to apply for a stay.

jjp - yo, why no SNV love? They are only the Greatest Chip Known To Mankind!! Thanks for tagging me. It's been fun!!
