So of course I thought I'd talk about the debate last night.

What? You didn't watch the debate? NEITHER DID I!!!!! WA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!
THIS IS WHAT I WATCHED:

YEAH BABY! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to admit that Hamels is not one of my favorite players. I've always thought he was sort of a lightweight, intestinal-fortitude-wise. You know, "Hollywood Hamels". But I WAS WRONG. Wrong Wrong Wrong. Thank God. He and Victorino and Utley can share the MVP, in my book. And let's give it up for Pat Gillick, who accumulated a string of good-not-great (Lidge excepted) players who were the backbone of this team. And Charlie Manuel, who's lived in the MM Love-Hate Doghouse for a couple of years now with my Pat Burrell and was just what this team needed. And please god let Manny sign with an AL team next year.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
were you the one carrying on all out in the street? lol...i could totally see it honestly. Momogus on her porch screaming for the Phils. I might start watching baseball more often now. Lord knows the Eagles have to get it together.
parade minus four
Wooo hooooo!!!!! Go Phils!
I'm surprised there's no comment from Gus's Grandad yet -- unless his head exploded!!!
I've been on the road so far, Laura, visiting Momogus her very self and checking in with the A's Society in Hatboro (plug, plug!).
It was wonderful to see Nomar hit that popup in the ninth (and I shouted, "No, no, Carlos, it's the third baseman's ball!") and to watch the Phillies explode onto the field and then to watch Michael Barkann and Mitchy-poo and RickyBo go on until one o'clock in the morning, with occasional shots of Leslie Gudel in the lockerroom getting her blonde hair drenched with champagne ("Who did that? Who was it?") while she interviewed another Phillie.
Bring on the Tampa Bay Sox or the Boston Rays or whoever. We've got Cole and Shane and Chase and J-Roll and so many more - with Ryan Howard ready to hit a few taters in the Fall Classic!
My favorite part is the utter despondency that Joe Buck and Tim McCarver must feel knowing that the World Series won't involve a team from New York, Boston (likely) or California. You can't tell me Fox wasn't hankering for a Manny/Bosox matchup.
Heck, some people apparently think the Mets are still playing.
kel - where in the world was that picture?? Times Square, I bet. Poor Mets fans.......NOT!
