Okay, I promise (or threaten) you, there will be some nice knitting content soon. But first, please indulge me in a mini-rant.

Yesterday, the Eagles LUCKED OUT in the most amazing way and were given the chance to beat the hated Cowboys and make the playoffs, a prospect that was a gleam in nobody's eye a couple of weeks ago. And they win in spectacular, soul-stirring, Pacman Jones-bashing, fashion.

And then McNabb takes the podium after the game and gives the most self-serving, whinybaby speech I've ever heard. I felt like kicking him through the tv screen. He could have had every rabid Eagles fan back in the palm of his hand if he had just run through the normal cliches and shut up about his poor hurt feelings. It was neither the time nor the place. He made T.O. seem like Desmond Tutu in his post-game interview.

I love Runyan and Dawkins and even cranky Westbrook, and I believe that Andy Reid is a great coach (there I said it), and I hope the Eagles win the Super Bowl. But I think I'm done with McNabb.

Wow, I don't think T.O. and Desmond Tutu have ever been in the same sentence before. EVER!

Hey, the Ravens won too!

Welcome to the hell that has been my EagelsWorld for some years now!!! I didn't get to see what he said, but that has been my issue with him for at least 5 years. He seems like a nice guy (for a baby!), but he never is the oh-so-great quarterback that everyone has been making him out to be since he had such a good stint in Syracuse. And he has yet to show me that he can play in the post season with any kind of gusto. "Waaa, I have a tummy ache." Wow! You did get me started.......Go Eagles!

mcnabb is like rolen - he's a talented player, but he says stupid things and frequently gives the impression that he just doesn't get it.

By the way, I found the hedgehog pattern at the store in Lansdale. Thanks for your offer to loan me yours - but I've got my own now.
